Rise and shine, little monsters. A new week is waiting just for you. The events of yesterday may have been hard to stomach, but time heals all wounds, after all. The damages the house has incurred over the last week have been reverted and the staff is hard at work fulfilling their roles in this mansion. A piping hot breakfast is served in the dining room promptly at 7am, every square inch of floor and furniture has been cleaned spotless, and Pumpkin is...probably around tending to the animals outside. As you exit your rooms on this lovely morning, guests will find that the barrier leading upstairs has diminished, and a new floor has been opened to explore.

For anyone who ventures into the ballroom, a new change may become apparent. Should you choose to look at the plaques long enough, two images will flicker and change sporadically. While Mammon's portrait remains the same, on occasion it will change to an image of a flattened and concave individual almost unrecognizable. Likewise, Meltryllis's portrait looks just like herself, though if you blink you may miss it changing into a large leviathan, claws and scales glistening against the water. Finally, Stefano's portrait reveals a picture of the artist, but every now and then his head hangs from his neck by a shred of skin. There is no rhyme and reason for the change...though perhaps it serves as a reminder to those who remain.

Additionally, the house rules have been moved from the ballroom and back into the hallway, mounted in the entryway as they were.

They say that the past builds a strong foundation for the future. But what if your past isn't quite as clear as others? Anyone can lie about who they are; all it takes is a bit of practice to hide your true memories. Starting today, however, it seems as though the skeletons in your closet wish to come out. Memories you've kept hidden during this stay will begin to float to the surface of your mind, forcing their way out and onto other guests in your vicinity. There doesn't appear to be rhyme or reason how it happens whether it's by touch or by simply standing close to someone. Some memories may be stronger around those you're closest with, but it seems as though everything will be brought to the light eventually.

Perhaps your memories are happy ones. Or perhaps you'll view your memories as something to be ashamed of, hiding away from the people you've come to befriend. Maybe it's a good thing you'll find that you can't see your own reflection in the mirror. Entering rooms becomes harder when you have to be invited by someone else, and...the smell and taste of garlic becomes repugnant, driving you away,

You may experience only some of these events. Then again, maybe you're unlucky and you're experiencing all of these events at different points in time. Time is of the essence, however, and come Monday at noon a rustling crackle of static can be heard from overhead. Try as you might, you won't be able to find the speakers but a message will play loud and clear for all.

[As the static begins to clear, a young woman's voice begins to speak.]

What would you do for your freedom?

My parents sold me to a man to clear off their debts. It was my duty as their sole daughter, protests be damned. I lived in that man's house for many years, bearing his cruelty and violence in silence, trapped and alone in my misery. I attempted, more than once, to end my suffering, but he kept a watchful eye on me. I had climbed to the roof of that wretched house when I met her. She was ethereal in her beauty, the moonlight shining behind her, her lips red like blood against her pale skin. I believed she was here to free me. At last, I thought, my angel of death. She looked into my eyes and with no words exchanged seemed to understand me in a way I had never been understood before. She offered me her hand... and something no man ever could.

We killed my husband together. He was not the last of our victims. Freedom tastes so much sweeter than his blood ever did.

[ beau is sporting a cute look today! she's got her hair pulled back up again, but it's like a bunch of braids that end in a ponytail. she's still limping a bit but it's fine. she's also losing her mind in this salon because it's the coolest thing she's ever seen. ]

They have hair dye in here! There's a fucking hot tub! [ she hollers at the top of her lungs. ] Someone get in here and let me put color in your hair!

[ Starting Monday, Ayabe can be seen with a guitar case on his back. He makes pit stops in certain places: the infirmary, the morgue, the museum— the latter of which he can't sneak things into his case, but he does stop in this room, going from item to item, brows furrowed in skepticism and confusion depending on what he's looking at. How long as that carrot been there and why hasn't it rotten? ]

That's a pretty nice broomstick... [ he's muttering to himself, but the description doesn't make sense at all and he turns away again, this time to stand in front of the ouija board.

He picks up the planchette and sets it on the board. Who wants to talk to ghosts with him, don't make him do this by himself. ]

[ nothing much here -- but wandering into the astronomy tower in an evening might also mean catching sight of ash just sprawled in a pile of pillows and blankets. it's unclear if he's asleep, or looking at the stars. ]

[ he doesn't care all that much about the movie -- it's gory, and it's not something he's willing to watch right now, and the big screen kinda reminds him of the screens around big cities and campus for showing speeches or events more than anything. what ash is here for is the popcorn.

The command startles him, but he doesn't know what's coming, and then he's disoriented from it being so tiny. He scrambles to try to catch it reflexively with his hands, stumbling forward. Wow, he catches it.]
