For those of you counting along, you'll find that it's been three days since you've arrived at Master Blue's mansion. On this lovely Monday morning, the weak winter sun shines in through the spotless windows. The curtains in the ballroom have been drawn closed and cannot be moved away from the back wall during the daylight hours. The scent of a hot and delicious breakfast wafts from the direction of the dining hall at 7am, and small creaks and groans in the house urge you to awaken.

Perhaps you're a late riser though. No matter! There's still plenty of food you can make for yourself and ways for you to amuse yourself. Though the decor's been taken down, leftover Valentine's candy remains abundant, and a chilly breeze drifts through the halls. Best of all, all damage inflicted on the house has been repaired. In addition, a new placard has been mounted in the entryway.

As you carry on with your day in the mansion and explore the rooms provided, you may come to find that starting today it will appear as though you've all lost the use of one of your senses. Your vision may have grown dim, or maybe you really can't smell the enticing treats in the dining hall after all. How unfortunate.

Then again, something doesn't seem quite right. Walking through the halls, nothing seems terribly out of place. However, turning the corner or entering a room you will find someone who looks a little too much like yourself behaving in a fairly inappropriate manner. You would never read something so lewd. Who would ever think that you would wear something so pink? These mannerisms may seem innocent to others, but you can't help but disapprove.

Too bad no one else can see them.

Come Monday at noon, you will also find a new surprise. The wooden box with your name on it can now be opened, and a rustling crackle of static can be heard from overhead. Try as you might, you won't be able to find the speakers but this message will play loud and clear for all.

[ She narrows her eyes. ]

Yeah, I do know what a demon is, actually. I've fought a bunch of them. One took my friend. Please tell me you don't fucking mind control people.

[mammoney]

[He hardly expects demons to get a positive rep, so he's not terribly surprised by the reaction. Mammon shrugs. Though...she's fought demons? Concerning.]

Nah. Not my thing at all. I just kinda oversee greed and all the forms of it.

[ She folds her arms across her chest. ]

... Yeah, well, I can't fault that. Not like I'm not a greedy bitch. [ Huff. She points to her eyes and then to his. ] I catch you trying to bamboozle anybody and I'm gonna find a new bank to shove all those forks up into.

[mammoney]

I dunno what you're pointing to, but okay.

[His eyesight has...seen better days.]

Look, I have better things to do than hang around a bunch of humans in a place like this. Believe me, bamboozling anyone is like. Bottom of my list.

Oh. Right. Wait, how much can you not see?

[ She'll just take his word for it on the not bamboozling people thing for now because she doesn't have much else choice. ]

I don't really know. I might have hit my head on something. Things are kinda blurry...

[ She moves up to him and waves her hand in front of his face. Then holds up two fingers. ]

How many fingers am I holding up?

[HE CAN SEE THE MOTION but oh boy. The number of fingers.]

It's fine, that answers my question. [ She says dryly. ] You super can't see shit.

It's fine, my arm's numb, so. We're probably all slowly dying.

[mammoney]

I can see, okay?! I can totally see!

[A WHOLE BLUR, THAT'S WHAT HE SEES]

What? Dying? D-don't make me laugh. That's stupid.

Is it? I mean you're going blind and I'm losing all feeling in my limbs so logic tracks that that'll lead to death probably.

That one kid kept nearly dying every time he took a breath near confetti so maybe the confetti was poisonous? Which would be weird because normally I don't get poisoned, but.

[mammoney]

Don't scare me like that! I'm sure things will work out! Like it's...k-kinda like your arm falling asleep! That's all!

[A shake of the head.]

I got covered with that stuff from before. You think it was, like, poisonous?

[ She snorts. ]

Maybe. It seems weird that we're all suddenly just losing things, right? Poison or magic. And why? What's the point?

[mammoney]

Maybe its a curse that the witches put on me for not paying my debts back fast enough...

[ A beat - and then Beau lets out a pfffttthaha and folds her arms. ]

Yeah? You steal a bunch of forks back home from the cutlery hags?

[mammoney]

[POUTING]

Hey! It's not funny! It's serious! Like, these witches bleed you out for everythin' you own! And I've got actual wealth back home, not a bunch of forks, sheesh!

Are they like, actual witches? Or are they just girls who scammed you out of your cash?

No, they're not just random girls. Witches are witches, man. Just any regular human girl wouldn't be able to summon the likes of me. You have to have magic for that.

Why'd they summon you, anyway? How'd they do it? [ curiosity killed the cat, beau ]

Because witches need demons to do magic and stuff for them? Though they just ask me for free stuff sometimes...

[It gets on his nerves, he's not some kind of walking talking piggy bank!]

As for how, I dunno. I have a few classes on that stuff but I don't really pay attention....
