WEEK THREE: MINGLE

WEEK THREE

OCCUPANCY: 28

Rise and shine, little monsters. A new week is waiting just for you. The events of yesterday may have been hard to stomach, but time heals all wounds, after all. The damages the house has incurred over the last week have been reverted and the staff is hard at work fulfilling their roles in this mansion. A piping hot breakfast is served in the dining room promptly at 7am, every square inch of floor and furniture has been cleaned spotless, and Pumpkin is...probably around tending to the animals outside. As you exit your rooms on this lovely morning, guests will find that the barrier leading upstairs has diminished, and a new floor has been opened to explore.

For anyone who ventures into the ballroom, a new change may become apparent. Should you choose to look at the plaques long enough, two images will flicker and change sporadically. While Mammon's portrait remains the same, on occasion it will change to an image of a flattened and concave individual almost unrecognizable. Likewise, Meltryllis's portrait looks just like herself, though if you blink you may miss it changing into a large leviathan, claws and scales glistening against the water. Finally, Stefano's portrait reveals a picture of the artist, but every now and then his head hangs from his neck by a shred of skin. There is no rhyme and reason for the change...though perhaps it serves as a reminder to those who remain.

Additionally, the house rules have been moved from the ballroom and back into the hallway, mounted in the entryway as they were.

They say that the past builds a strong foundation for the future. But what if your past isn't quite as clear as others? Anyone can lie about who they are; all it takes is a bit of practice to hide your true memories. Starting today, however, it seems as though the skeletons in your closet wish to come out. Memories you've kept hidden during this stay will begin to float to the surface of your mind, forcing their way out and onto other guests in your vicinity. There doesn't appear to be rhyme or reason how it happens whether it's by touch or by simply standing close to someone. Some memories may be stronger around those you're closest with, but it seems as though everything will be brought to the light eventually.

Perhaps your memories are happy ones. Or perhaps you'll view your memories as something to be ashamed of, hiding away from the people you've come to befriend. Maybe it's a good thing you'll find that you can't see your own reflection in the mirror. Entering rooms becomes harder when you have to be invited by someone else, and...the smell and taste of garlic becomes repugnant, driving you away,

You may experience only some of these events. Then again, maybe you're unlucky and you're experiencing all of these events at different points in time. Time is of the essence, however, and come Monday at noon a rustling crackle of static can be heard from overhead. Try as you might, you won't be able to find the speakers but a message will play loud and clear for all.

[ He opens that part up again, and then makes the triangle. Then he'll flip it over to open it up and make a triangle there.

He's no longer looking at the book for the next steps since he has the page memorized already. So he just focuses between what he's making, and looking over at Babo Kimbo.

Folding up the corners to change the triangles on both sides into a diamond or a <> shape. ]

Keeping up?

[ He waits until he's done there before he turns it over to do the same thing on the other side. Pausing after this to let him catch up. ]

It matches the other side.

[ His tone of voice is pretty flat.

Now he'll go back to his own to open it up to make it a diamond/rotated square thing ]

[ ... ]

I wouldn't say that I'm good at it. The instructions are right there.

[ He repeats it on the other side and waits for him to follow before he folds the side corners inward to the center fold. ]

[ Has he actually looked at the page? ]

Ah, you might be one of those kind of learners.

[ Then he'll fold the horizontal corners towards the center fold. Repeating the same for the other side again. ]
