Rise and shine, little monsters. A new week is waiting just for you. The events of yesterday may have been hard to stomach, but time heals all wounds, after all. The damages the house has incurred over the last week have been reverted and the staff is hard at work fulfilling their roles in this mansion. A piping hot breakfast is served in the dining room promptly at 7am, every square inch of floor and furniture has been cleaned spotless, and Pumpkin is...probably around tending to the animals outside. As you exit your rooms on this lovely morning...

...a silence lays over the house.

For anyone who ventures into the ballroom, a new change may become apparent. Should you choose to look at the plaques, those of the dead have gone blank. The images that were once there have been covered, though the information is still there.

Additionally, the house rules have been removed.

Odd, isn't it? Where are those strange effects you've grown accustom to over the last several weeks in this house? Your body is as it should be (except for those of you who have lost limbs...you know who you are...), your mind is sound and stable, and there are no strange urges or instincts arising within you.

The mansion is in prime condition. All of the rooms (except for Master Blue's and the servants' quarters) are unlocked, and nothing seems out of place. Perhaps you'll have a chance to relax this morning?

Well, it was nice while it lasted anyway. Come Monday at noon a rustling crackle of static can be heard from overhead. Try as you might, you won't be able to find the speakers but a message will play loud and clear for all.

[Akechi will feel the floor begin to give in certain places but unfortunately he's fine. Instead, he approaches the mannequins and when he waves, they blink and look at him with small button eyes. That's nice. Yes? What do you want?

The badges might not be anything Ken recognizes, though they look to be high-quality. He might be more attracted to the one with the pawprint on it though...?

Then again, Phoenix will, sadly, recognize at least one of the badges.

Since Akira's checking the wall though? Congrats on your door! Too bad it gives no indication to where it might lead.]

[next Akira is going to carefully creep across the floor (ignoring the weak floorboards) to try and find that box hidden in the floorboards]

Some of the costumes are glowing blue. I suppose it might be worth taking at least one of them with us.

Since he has their attention, though, he stops waving his hand and... starts talking to what's going to look like absolutely nothing to everyone else, ig. Just ignore him, y'all.]

Do you know what we will find beyond that door?

[ yeah, the paw print one is his now and will go right into his pocket. also since akechi mentioned the costumes, he has ken's undivided attention. fortunately he's not moving very much so hopefully he doesn't find any of those weakened boards. ]

Which one of the costumes are glowing blue?

[ that badger is cursed.... unfortunately he's adding it to the court record ]

I suppose we can put the disguise plan into action if they're glowing blue.

[The costumes that are glowing seem to be an odd choice including a jumpsuit, a different jumpsuit toward the back of the others, a school uniform, an orange t-shirt with a pegasus on it, and this disaster of an outfit. There are also several fancy suits and cocktail dresses lit up, though the dresses lit up are colored pink, purple and orange.

Akira will successfully find the box! Unfortunately it's locked. Hm. Problem.

Are Phoenix and Ken just picking up the badges/seals, or are they wearing them? Either way, they're theirs now.

And Akechi will get an answer...]

The jumpsuits, the school uniform, the orange t-shirt and the. . . shorts and tanktop and headphones outfit are all glowing blue. The cocktail dresses are pink, purple and orange, so they're probably related to the sisters.

[EXCELLENT. the box goes into Akira's backpack, before he makes his way over towards the badges to grab one for himself!! but then he focuses his attention on Akechi]

. . . who are you talking to?

[Very informative, Akechi.

He tilts his head towards the door for a moment, trying to pick up any sound that may indicate the creatures from earlier are heading towards them again. Once that's done, he turns to the mannequins again, still looking through the viewfinder.]

"A shortcut that may cut short..." Will we encounter something unavoidably dangerous if we go through that door?

[ frowns at the choices. ]

Is it okay to pass on the jumpsuits?

[ the...disaster of the outfit seems to be okay? somebody help ken because you all are talking to yourselves and seeing things that he can't. everything is just gonna be at face value for him.

that said, akechi talking to mannequins is... hm. he'd say crazy but who knows anymore at this rate. (and for ty, the ken's badge can be on his bag because he's still wearing phoenix's pin!!!) also, what if akechi was more forthcoming, huh?? ]

... Probably. We have other disguise options... maybe the dresses. [ joking, maybe?? anyway right now he's just holding the pin but he's gonna pause a sec to use his necklace ]

Hey, you three. I found some items that belong to the dead and then some, they're glowing purple and blue. Think it'd be helpful to bring them along with us, maybe even wear them...?

[ is he talking to the boys?? also get akira in a cute cocktail dress 2k20 ]

[No-Faces are roaming, knocking into the walls and gobbling everything up...but they're still okay for the time being. Akira will catch a glimpse of a pink light in the corner of the room near the panel, but Akechi will hear:]

"Return what was taken for a safe journey." [So. Yes. If they go through the door it's dangerous, but if they go into the hall it's just as bad. Fun. And the eyes of the mannequins seem to be drawn to the door anyway. Apparently "what was taken" isn't in this room.

Akira can have his badge and Phoenix can, too, but since Ken puts his on his bag he'll find it morphing just a little so that there's now a dog's head attached like this. Huh. Doesn't that doggie look familiar? He barks cheerfully at Ken.

Phoenix will hear static before Peach's voice comes through the line.]

"Nick! ...tried to protect...already affected by the house! But they...the blues ones! Wearing them...helpful!"

[There's some yelling on the other end of the line. Peach is a widdle busy, Dad, but hope that helps them.]

[giving Akechi a LOOK, but it's vaguely amused, at least. Akira is going to attach his badge to his backpack as he scurries over to examine that pink light. is it just there or is something glowing pink???]

[at Phoenix, after Peach's reply]

Affected by the house. . .? She isn't talking about Plum, is she?

[he is assuming Plum because purple is Plum's color. . . but on command, he is gonna go ahead and grab the blue-glowing school uniform and shed his current blazer + t-shirt combo to put it on]

[... Hm. Don't like that. He shoots Phoenix a worried glance when they Peach's voice comes through the line, eyebrows furrowed.]

... If she was, there's nothing we can do about it while we're here. Let's focus on our mission.

[That's... fun... House, please leave his favorite furry alone. What the fuck.]

It seems we have to return what was taken for a safe journey. But, it doesn't seem like it's in this room. We still need to go through that door in order to proceed. [To the mannequins, again:] Can you describe "what was taken"?

[Either way, he will carefully make his way over to the badges once he has an answer. Time to nab one? Whichever looks the most interesting to him, probably.]

[ ken doesn't like the sound of what's going on with the house and the furries but, he'll go for the outfits.

so while akira goes for the blazer, ken will be fine with the disaster outfit, in a way, where he'll take the headphones and put them around his neck. though, of course, when he goes to put the shirt into his bag and...dog?? good dog??? greets him. ]

...Koro...Koromaru?

[ there's just so much that immediately happened that. hm. sorry, he's going to pet the head. does...does it react to him?? does he put the shirt into koro's mouth so that he can put it back into the bag? THIS IS SUDDENLY A LOT TO CONSIDER. ]

.... you've got a dog on your bag, Ken.

[ phoenix will put the badge on his backpack too so cursed badger content can happen. He's going to put percy's shirt over his hoodie and jersey bc he's a fucking disaster... then put the remaining glowing blue items in his backpack for later. to the necklace: ]

We should probably keep moving... try to find this "something taken".

[There's a lot going on here suddenly. Like Koromaru, now that Akira's put his badge on his bag, it turns into...well. A similar scenario, except it's Mona's head. Meow.]

Anyway! If they look closer at the purple itself though they'll notice it's...not really Plum's color? It's darker, almost like dark red and blue mixed together. Hm!

It's a glowing pink light and it flashes cheerfully. Hime's still here to help, she just got a little lost :(

Phoenix's bag turns into the Blue Badger so now everyone has to deal with its dead-eyed happy stare.]

"The broken seal. The powersource!" [The mannequinns say to Akechi.] "Go now."

[They grow silent, and the hidden door swings open as something collides into the main door from the hall.

Koromaru's head barks at Ken, clearly recognizing him and happy with the pets. ...but yeah feed the dog. Welp.

Since Akira and Phoenix are the only ones wearing the clothes though, something occurs. For one thing, Akira finds himself...changing. His face changes, his hair lighten, he finds himself filled with nervous energy as he turns into a different boy. For Al's sake, it's Yosuke, even if Akira doesn't know that. He will also find that he can see through his limbs now as the life is drained from him and he becomes a spirit himself. It's not a pleasant process, but now that it's done...he feels fine, and he'll hear Yosuke's voice in his head.]

"Jiraiya."

[Phoenix, as a ghost, doesn't change in that sense but he suddenly grows a little taller, hair a little messier and green eyes blink suddenly. He's no longer Team Dad...he's a Regular Teen. Akechi will recognize him as Percy even if Phoenix can't see himself yet. He will also feel...different. More powerful, energy thrumming through his veins...but also an attention problem. Good luck focusing, Phoenix.

It doesn't help that the jersey's keeping him in a fairly optimistic albeit confused mood.]

Mannequins say we're looking for a broken seal— The power source.

[He will shove the pin in his backpack as he nyooms for the hidden panel door. Phoenix took all of the blue glow outfits, so guess? Akechi is grabbing one of the pink glow items? Yes, it's a dress. Be happy, Naru and Sipp. He will just hold onto it while he goes through the hidden panel door. Begone, No Face.]

which is not the mood that ken shares as he watches all of this go down and it's all a lot to handle in like 0 time. though, since the only way to get the shirt into the bag is to feed it to koro...that's....what ken is going to do. ]

[ he'll lightly pat koro on the head before offering neku's shirt to "eat".

but with that said and done, ken is going not take any other amount of time to get out of the room now that they're...different. mostly different. ken's not gonna think about things too much. ]

I feel like that's what we've been looking for the entire time.

[ im very happy thanks. ah the energy of youth.... anyway, phoenix will quickly grab the other glowing badges and stash them as well, then scramble after the gang. with his now cursed backpack ]

Ken, don't feed it that. We might need it!

[The pink light encases the door to close it behind them when all four are safely secured and not a moment too soon because the door bursts open, one of the No-Faces oozing in. It begins to gobble up everything in the room, so good thing Phoenix took the badges and the blue outfits.

The pink light is the only thing that allows them to see as they begin to walk through this encased tunnel. Bumps and thuds can be heard from the outside, and they'll begin to walk at an incline. Koromaru happily eats Neku's shirt. Mona complains about the tight space. Phoenix might be distracted by every single noise and on high alert.

But while they're walking, they will gradually...start to lose sight of what the purpose is. They don't seem to be in a rush suddenly, and if they try to think about their goal it's harder to concentrate and think of.

Almost like...they forgot.

The pink light bounces along, but they seem to hit an area with two separate panels in front of them. There is no indication what's behind either panel. They'll just have to think of a strategy.]

[. . . well. Akira-turned-into-Yosuke sure doesn't like that foggy, hazy feeling. he blinks blearily a few times as they walk, pressing a hand against his face as he screws his eyes shut, trying to hold onto something that really wants to slip between his fingers]

[when he reaches the panels, and with No-Face long behind them (HOPEFULLY), he plops down onto the ground and fishes that mysterious floorboard box out of his Mona-bag]

Hey. . . are you guys starting to feel it, too?

[the. the memory loss, he means]

[anyway he gives the Mona bag a quick ear scratch before using some of his homemade lockpicks to try and pry the box open]

[Uncertainly, in response to Akira. What... was he trying to achieve, again? Why was he even putting up with—? It feels like his mind is stuffed full of cotton every time he tries to think about it, his thoughts fuzzy and hard to hold onto. That's not normal, is it...? He shakes his head, rubbing one of his eyes with a gloved hand before turning to the panels.]

... We should get out of here.

[Because even if he can't remember what the point of all of this is, he still doesn't want to be in a creepy tunnel. Can he pick up any kind of sound if he leans close to the panels?]

[ whatever excitement he might have about koromaru eating his neku's shirt (is excitement the best word), it starts to fade away with much of the why. he'll stare at the panels and look between akechi and akira and just. ]

[ kind of hard to describe something when a question is that vaugue. ]

We were here for a reason... [ not that he knows what reason that is. clearly there's a reason why his bag is his best dog friend, though. ...though that's a reason that's mystifying him right now. ] Right? Why else would we be in a situation like this.
